My folks.

Blog Challenge Day 4. MY PARENTS.
Taken at this year's Garden Festival, while I was sleeping soundly at home. HAHAHS.
YES, MY MUM AND MY DAD. Looking like typical Auntie and typical Uncle which is true. Their Singaporean genes is super strong. Both equally kiasu, impatient but willing to queue up for idk whats. HAHAHAHS

Hmm.. So I shall start by introducing my Papz first.
My Papz, reaching 60 alr, he came from a meat family with 7 siblings, 'cause his father was a butcher(?). My mum said it's something like a butcher, but the thing is, his family always get to eat meat everyday and sometimes no veggie at all, that's why my paternal side is full of illnesses and my father is not an exception. He has high blood pressure and I think slightly diabetic, but still he's as fit as a horse(Zodiac). His parents both passed away when he was young, due to cancers. He's a strong believer in Buddhism, so he's very strict around the rules to us.
I don't wanna reveal his job 'cause the company is a very sensitive topic nowadays.
His temper is scary, you won't want to step on him if not he will summon Thor. HAHAHAHS. He always have this grumpy face on him which makes other scared of him, but when he smiles, it's like you feel rainbows, sunshine and unicorns all around you. HAHAHAS, RARE OKAY, RARE.
But honestly, he's a very kind and generous person. Like if you need money, give him a valid reason and money appears, but even with this, I still don't ask money from him, ever since Primary school. He keeps telling me to tell him whenever I'm staying back in school so he can give me extra $2, but I always don't tell. When he finds out, I always get scolded. HAHAHS. Well, I don't want to waste my parents' money!!
He's also like a taxi driver, he doesn't mind spending fuel on friends who need a lift. Just give him the address and he will go~~
He's a car racer in his previous life 'cause seriously, he likes to speed and I always feel like I might die in the car. I'm scared of speed, especially when everything is zooming pass you so fast. o.o
Also, he's so busy that he has to reply sms and answer phone calls when he's driving, which makes the entire family intense. HAHAHAHS.
Anyways, as being the only daughter in the family, he dotes me a lot, doesn't really give high expectations and give encouragement for me to do better. And I think most of my genes come from him. Temperamental, camwhore(YES), singing, laziness(partly) and the love for meat. :D
Camwhore is because my fathers likes to be in every shot of scenery and he'll be the one screaming for me and my bros to take photo.

Next is my mummm.
Me playing the "Kulintang" in Kuching.
My mum, same age as MichaelJ, is a total opposite of my dad. She comes from a veggie family with 7 siblings too. She live in a factory building in the past with many other families. AhMa always plants veggies in some field also, so they lead a healthier lifestyle. So my mum is always in pink of health and active like a Dog(Zodiac). No, my mum's not a bitch. -.-
When she falls sick, she falls REALLY REALLY SICK, so during that time I will take care of her.
She works as a Lab Officer in NUS. She was from Chinese choir, in SP! She's ex SP-CLS. CHINESE LANGUAGE SOCIETY. HAHAHAHS. -lame-
She's part atheist too. She just respect every religion, not really believing in any and live her life happy-go-lucky.
My mum doesn't look scary but SHE IS. She's the one who always punish us with anything she can find. Clothes hanger, bamboo stick(NOT THE HANG CLOTHES ONE. we grow thin bamboos at home), long ruler, cane, newspaper and mostly painfully, hand. She's super naggy, she talks to herself a lot(as in to us but is so random that you don't wanna reply), she scolds you for being lazy and not helpful but in the end, she still does it herself, she expects immediate reaction and likes to ask a lot of questions when watching a show.
So she kinds of annoys me A LOT. Likes to intrude my privacy also. -.-
BUT HER COOKING IS SUPERB. But I'm still picky in eating.. Unless it comes to my favourite dish, the entire plate is mine and I only trust my mum cooking my favourites.
She is not generous but she's kind(?). I don't remember anything of being kind... And she's super stingy with money. You need extra money? Maximum $10 extra 'cause she doesn't like me spending money. And she always bargains everywhere possible, quite paiseh to stand next to her, 'cause like yah, the person she's bargaining with is also paiseh. HAHAHAHS.
She used to help me buy clothes, but now she doesn't 'cause she realise, she don't know what's my taste, but for accessories, she can buy those superbly nice stuff. HAHAHAS.
She is not a camwhore and always shakes her head when my father ask her to take photos with the scenery. She also ensure safety, success(aka. excellent results) and health for the entire family 'cause my father just keeps buying snack home!
I'm glad she could teach me math during my primary school days because 2 of the questions appeared in PSLE!! I was so happy. HAHAHAHS. Oh, also, I always tells my mum results first before anyone else. She was happy with my 'O's! T.T
Whenever she's not happy with me,
"HAIYAH, HOPEFULLY YOU GET MARRIED FASTER AND EARLIER AND GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE"
That's all for my mum! LOVE.

Mum, 3rd bro, me and Papz in Kuching! :D Very ugly outfit, yeah.

It's seems like I'm very close with my mum and that is absolutely true. My papz always MIA, having lots of functions and meetings to attend to. While my mum, fetches me to childcare and back home, I always go to her lab and play computer online games, She always ask me for fashion advice, I remembered her phone numbers and birthdate, I always can talk to her and use to bathe together(is it a bit too private?). Well, the only other female in the family!! And I still don't know my father's birthdate.... Oops.
How I know so much background of my parents was because at night, I always talk to her if we share the same room. I always dig out the past because it's so nice to imagine times of the past of my parents, how they went through so much and all the sacrifice the family makes so the younger ones will have better education. INSPIRE~
Though me and Dad hardly talk, we're still comfortable with one another, whatever he likes(except bittergourd), I will like it too! :D Just that whatever veggie I like, he won't like any... Half twins. HAHAHAHS. <3
For relationships, they say as long as I'm happy, it's fine. :D And my mum likes to know whether I got boyfriend or not. FOREVER ALONE EMPHASIZING. Hah.

Even though I rant on Twitter on how much they can piss me off, I will still always love them because only in them I feel secure and safe. Which is why, when I think about losing them, I will just cry. (and I am now. wts)
As what Anastasia Steele says, "child will love their parents unconditionally." Guess we are wired so. ^^
Our family don't say I Love You in the open, it only occurs 1 in every 2 years. We just do it by action, though I know all the "bullying" and teasing and insults and beatings are the form of caring, I do still feel empty. Even so, home is still the best place to be, we always joke. :P
But now both my parents are old so, they tend to fight easily especially my mum who keeps picking on dad. -pity papz-

I'm so glad I'm born into this family, where we are average at everything and don't want more. I hope I can improve others' lives..
Able to stay in a condominium is good, but I still prefer the old HDB days. I told my mum and she agrees. :D
I think in 4 years time, we'll move back.

THAT'S ALL FOR MY PARENTS!
30+ years of marriage alr. I know I will lose you guys one day.. But I really hope the day never comes. Love you Papz and Mum. :*
